Lemn Sissay OBE FRSL is a
British author and broadcaster.
Sissay was the official poet of the 2012 London Olympics and Guest
Director at Brighton Festival 2021.
He has been Chancellor of the University of Manchester since 2015, sits on the Foundling Museum’s board of trustees and was awarded the 2019 PEN Pinter Prize.
He has written a number of books and plays.

This American 3D computer-animated action fantasy film by DreamWorks is based on the 2003 book of the same name by Cressida Cowell.
In a Viking village, an undersized teen dreams of becoming a dragon slayer. When he injures a rare Night Fury dragon he is unable to bring himself to kill it and instead befriends it.

MEET CRESSIDA COWELL AND LAUREN CHILD

Lauren Child, Festival Patron and author of the Charlie and Lola books and Cressida Cowell, author of How to Train Your Dragon, discuss their friendship, writing about friendships, families and creating characters.
Lauren and Cressida are both multi-million-selling author-illustrators with whose books are hugely successful in TV and film. This is a very rare chance to see them do an event together.
Followed by a book signing (books are available to buy).

ZEROH CAUGHT A CURIOSITY
A strange creature washed ashore on the coast last week. It is being transported to a laboratory for analysis on Saturday evening (22 October).
The vehicle will be making short stops along the journey to check on the creature's wellbeing.
Members of the public will be allowed to view the beast from a distance but
caution is advised.
